  • What's the difference between mobile and countertop?

    The Victa Mobile has two selling modes. In mobile mode, you can scan items and take payments anywhere on the floor with just the Victa Mobile. In countertop mode, it transitions into a payment terminal with a dedicated customer-facing display. For this setup, you'll need to connect the Victa Mobile to the tablet or phone running the Shopify POS app and a barcode scanner.

  • Can I use it at the counter without a dock?

    Yes. The Victa Mobile is a fully self-contained device with its own battery, wireless connectivity, and display, so it can sit on a counter and take payments without a dock.

  • Does it print receipts?

    No. To print physical receipts, you’ll need to pair it with a compatible receipt printer.

  • Who’s Verifone?

    Verifone is one of the world's leading payment hardware companies. The Victa Mobile is built through a partnership between Shopify and Verifone, combining Shopify's POS software with Verifone's payment hardware expertise.

  • Does this replace the POS Go?

    The POS Go is deprecated and will stop working as a mobile POS device on May 26, 2027.

    On that date it will automatically convert to a countertop payment terminal. If you're currently using POS Go and want to continue mobile selling after that date, you'll need to switch to the Victa Mobile or Tap to Pay on iPhone or Android.
